Wine has been made in this part of the Danube since the 4th century. Production flourished after the conquering Romans established the city of Drobeta a great trading centre and now home to Domaine Danubiane. Intense aromas of raspberries, redcurrants and a hint of spice. It's a real mouthful of long lasting, juicy fruit flavours and refreshing acidity.
