Gran Bombero 2007Gran Bombero owes its flavour intensity to Cariena's gnarled, bush trained old Garnacha vines some of the oldest in Spain and up to 95 years old! Chief winemaker Javier Domeque selects his most prized, lowest yielding vines and only the smallest, ripest bunches are chosen for Gran Bombero. The wine is then aged in American oak best suited for velvety Garnacha for a Reserva style red with an irresistibly smooth finish. This vintage boasts a deep purple colour, ripe blackcurrant aromas and unrivalled succulent blackberry and plum flavours all kept beautifully smooth thanks to that warming 15% alcohol. Delicious drinking guaranteed. An institution here at HQ, Gran Bombero always runs out fast but with smaller yields there is even less to go round this year act fast for your share!
