Night Nurse liquid for colds and flu. Relieves tickly cough, shivers, aches and pains, runny nose, sore throat pain and headache. The complete night time remedy for colds and flu. Night Nurse is formulated to be taken only at night time. Specially concentrated, just one dose at bedtime relieves major cold symptoms quickly, helping you to get a good night's sleep and to wake feeling better. This bottle contains 8 adult doses to relieve *Tickly cough and sore throat *Runny nose *Aches and pains *Fevers and shivers and so help comfortable, restful sleep. Each measure, at bedtime, of the concentrated Night Nurse formulation in a demulcent syrup contains Promethazine, with decongestant action to dry up runny noses and sniffles, so easing breathing; Dextromethorphan, to reduce the tickly cough so often associated with colds; Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic to relieve aches, pains, shivers and reduce temperature. Drug Interaction Precautions Night Nurse liquid is a complete night time cold treatment; do not take with any other flu, cold or decongestant products or other paracetamol containing products at night, or with alcohol. Night Nurse liquid may cause drowsiness, but as the product is intended to be taken only at bedtime, this shouldn't be a problem. However, if you are affected, you should not drive or operate machinery. Do not take Night Nurse liquid if *you are allergic to paracetamol, promethazine hydrochloride, dextromethorpan hydrobromide or any of the other ingredients listed. *you have kidney or liver problems. *you are taking, or have taken in the last two weeks, medicines prescribed by your doctor or hospital for depression including monoamine oxidase inhibitors or MAOIs. *you are having a pregnancy test carried out on your urine. Talk to your doctor first if *you have asthma or other breathing problems, epilepsy, glaucoma, urinary retention difficulty in passing water, or prostate or heart problems. *you are taking medicines to thin the blood anticoagulants e.g. warfarin. *you are taking medicines which make you drowsy, or which give you a dry mouth or blurred vision, or which have been prescribed for anxiety or to help you sleep. If you are pregnant or breast feeding As with all medicines you should ask your doctor before using Night Nurse liquid if you are pregnant or breast feeding. You should only use the product at this time if your doctor thinks it appropriate and necessary. Remember consult your pharmacist for advice if you are taking any other cold or decongestant products or paracetamol containing products during the day. Warning It would be harmful to take more than the dose stated on the pack and in this leaflet. Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose, even if you feel well, because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage.
