Senza Confini 2008A fresh and peachy Italian newcomer from a true icon of winemaking you'd normally pay top dollar! Vineyards don't recognise national boundaries. The fruit for this gem comes from ancient vineyards that cross the boundary between Italy and Slovenia hence the very humble classification European Table Wine. Truth is, the northern Italian vineyards of Collio are incredibly highly praised, and Slovenia has a prestigious heritage as a wine producing country too it's just a bit of a forgotten corner. The winemaker is Alessandro Gallici, who makes our hugely popular Visionario. This white debuted at London's best loved wine festival. As our Senior Buyer Thomas Woolrych walked past Alessandro's busy stand a festival goer glass of Senza Confini in hand stopped him and said ''You must try this it's bloody brilliant!''
