The DAP 1160 Wireless G Access Point can be configured to operate in any of the following 7 modes Wireless Access Point AP; AP Client to connect to another Access Point; Bridge, with one peer AP, to easily create dedicated building to building links; Bridge with AP, to allow wireless clients on the bridge link; Wireless repeater, to extend the wireless coverage and cover any ''dead spot''; WISP Client Router, to share an Internet connection based on Wi Fi between wired computers without an extra router; WISP Repeater, to share an Internet connection based on Wi Fi between wiredwireless computers without an extra router.The AP is based on Linux, which allows the open source community to add their own features.Robust security is included, with support for WPAWPA2 encryption, MAC address filtering and the SSID broadcast disable function.
