D Link 15 Bay iSCSI SAN Array 8x1GbE Ports

D Link's 15 bay iSCSI SAN Array provides an entry level, value oriented solution for SMB customers. By fully integrating with the same Ethernet infrastructure as the data network, this solution saves considerable cost compared with the Fibre Channel technology traditionallly used for Storage Area Networks. The DSN 3200 10 features fifteen hot swappable Serial ATA SATA disk drive bays supporting 30 TB raw capacity using 2 TB hard drives and even higher capacity hard drives as they are introduced in RAID level 0, 1, 10 and 5 configurations. Built on a powerful System on a Chip SoC design usually found in larger arrays, it can handle over 80,000 IOs per second. This single chip solution eliminates interoperability, timing, and support issues found in competitive products that offer ''discrete implementation'' wherein all the various components are chosen separately and then assembled. The DSN 3200 10 outperforms these discrete implementations at a lower price point. The DSN 3200 10 implements eight Gigabit Ethernet ports that can be grouped together for up to 850 MBs bandwidth, increasing throughput and redundancy. Other features include volatile cache data protection via an on board battery designed to back up up to 4 GB of cached memory for at least 72 hours, support for IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging and jumbo frames, volume virtualization with storage Extents. The embedded, user friendly IP SAN Device Manager IDM provides comprehensive network storage management.
