This is because it needs to be connected to a network and allocated its own IP address. It has hearing impaired support and the sound can be increased up to 6 decibels. Also the telephone has acoustic shock protection which cuts out sounds that could damage your hearing. The Ericsson Dialog 4425 IP telephone is the only other IP phone in this range that has a higher specification. However the Ericsson Dialog 4422 IP does have a large amount of capabilities and is suitable for most office environments.
