The LogiRobot LR001 is a truly unique and multi talented robot with a mind of its own. It can be used in simple play or it can be used in more complex and engaging projects that help you understand the principles of control, automation and robotics. It is compatible with all other Logibloc parts and kits so you can extend its functionality with Extrablocs to make ever more complex gadgets it's up to you and your imagination!Logiblocs electronic kits take all the hassle out of learning simple electronics and add a whole lot of fun too! Each block is an individual electronic component a battery, a logic gate, a sensor so all you have to do to build your circuit is plug the components you want together in the right order. A great eductional tool and lots of fun too!The LogiRobot Kit contains over 60 parts including 10 Logibloc parts, a Docking Station, and click fit Pulleys and Fixings to enable many varied fun tasks to be carried out. The LR001 itself contains two electric motors and a clever microprocessor so that you can control it either by the Remote Infrared Control Unit or by letting it respond to onboard or remote Logibloc sensors.The kit comes with a full set of illustrated instructions for over 30 detailed projects that put your creative juices to the test! Batteries required 4 x 1.5V AA and 1 x 9V PP3In “Fast” Mode you use the Remote Control Unit to guide the LR001 from a distance making it move swiftly across the floor twirling around or bashing into things or create cunning booby traps for unsuspecting parents! Or you can mount it on its Docking Station and make it lift things, drag things or control an automatic lift.In “Slow” Mode you let the LR001 be a sophisticated machine moving carefully in measured steps, guided automatically by on board Logibloc sensors and reacting to light and the objects it encounters, carry things from one place to another or let it find its own way out of a Maze!You can add the Penholder and make it draw fascinating pictures with great symmetry or, perhaps, absolutely random designs LogiPen included. Using the two Light Sensors provided you can set the LR001 up to seek a light beam or follow a white or black path. You can make it perform even more accurate line following tricks using the dedicated Line Follower bloc provided.
