In the Alta II, Pramo have taken the technical details from their mountaineering gear and tailored them into an outstanding all weather, all season hillwalking jacket.As with all of Pramo's clothing, breathability is key. The Nikwax Analogy fabric uses a durable, windproof, water resistant shell with a moisture moving 'pump liner', to ensure that water never makes it through to the wearer, but without a membrane to get in the way of breathability. Additionally, venting is found in upper arm zips and the ingenious main fastening the poppered storm flap sits behind the reversed zip, so the jacket remains fastened as the zip is lowered for venting. Removable foam strips in the back create an air channel when you're carrying a rucksack. However hard you're working, the Alta II works just as hard to keep you comfortable.Two generous handwarmer pockets are complemented by large internal and external chest pockets, and a smaller fast access chest pocket with an attachment for a lanyard allows you to securely stow your navigation essentials within easy reach.
