He is the most alert and watchful creature in the whole of Sylvania, which is a good job, as he has to check that there are no wildfires in the forest. Mother Beatrix Spotter is the communitys babysitter and she often looks after more than 20 children at a time! She has to count them every fifteen minutes to make sure they are all still there. Her children, Alfie and Gail are very well behaved. Alfie always has his nose in a book. Adventure stories are his favourite!
